:D i'm also doing a barrel change and i am going to diassemble bead blast and parkerize after barrel change and it should look more like the origanal

Are you putting a WWII length barrel on it? If you havent filed Class II papers on it then you are likely breaking the law by creating a short barrelled rifle....

8) way ahead of ya went though a year and a half waiting for paper work but after a 100.00 worth of phone calls and getting the run around after 8months they told me i had out dated forms sent m2 carbine paper work in at the same time and dealer had to fax them to find out were it was but i finnaly got it thanks for the conern by the way do you possibly know or heard of rich satterfield goes buy the blanks guy need info from him :idea:

I haven't but there are a number of other blank producers out there....Tim Ketchum is one of them...motion picture blanks is another one.

Bob...
WW2 vintage M1 & M1A1 Thompson submachineguns came from the two manufacturers (Savage & Auto Ordnance) finished in "Dulite" matt black finish. Thompson guns only were "parkerized" when passing through a rebuilding facility or arsenal. See Frank Iannamico's AMERICAN THUNDER The Military Thompson Submachine Guns.....A must have for any Tommygun buff ! Hope this helps. :)

:lol: thanks mine is a thompson and i just put it on the belt sander to radius the top of reciever came out like the origanal just need to change out the barrel and check head space bead blast and park and it will be ready to go i will take some pics during the surdery :twisted:
