WTK Combination Tool, M1 Cleaning Rod

I spend most of my time picking up ww2 era tools but today I picked up a couple of M1 cleaning rod kits and a interesting tool. Stamped in the metal is "Combination Tool Assy 7790769". Can anybody tell me what this is and what it is used for?

That tool is for the M14 rifle, fits in the stock of the weapon with the rods and oiler.
