57 MM AA GUN - looking for documentation and parts

Post by Fabrizio » Tue Jan 16, 2018 10:42 am

Hi!
We have just recovered a 57MM AA gun from Belgium.
It has spent some decades outside, and needs serious work to look decent again.
We have a hard time finding documentation or parts, is someone familiar with these?

If it is the Bofors gun then the M4 trailer components are just the same and the only difference is the gun components itself. The trailer parts are not too difficult to find - not a lot of them are left in the states....probably more available in Europe. Portrayal Press has the M4 Trailer manual that covers 40mm Bofors trailer - it looks the same....same outriggers, and 'feet' and trailer hitch.

Yes, it's indeed the Bofors 57

The M4 trailer manual will indeed get you part the way to a restoration - not sure about where to find a manual on the gun....
