WTB - Piat monopod
WTB - Piat monopod. Does not have to be original. In fact, good repro would be better and presumably cheaper.

Just because I think one would be fun to play with: Can you launch NERF footballs with a PIAT? Also, DD?

Re: WTB - Piat monopod
Interesting, the one I have (on my PIAT) that has only a center pipe with extendable leg coming out of it. I never saw that type with a pair of legs coming down before.
And yes, they are collectible without license and were on the DD list but removed from it as who the heck can get ammo for a spring driven heavy as H..L launcher anyway?

Yes, Thank You, now type in PIAT in google or any search engine and see how many of the non-MK1 monopods you find....
I'm not declaring they did not use that style, I just had not seen that one, and if you search, you will find a "majority" of single pipe style monopods in photos.

Either one would work for me for $100. Any more than that I can make it, but 300 bucks at IMA is ridiculous.

I have seen repo rounds made out of rubber that do sort of look like Nerf footballs.Starvingboy wrote: ↑Tue Dec 05, 2017 9:49 amJust because I think one would be fun to play with: Can you launch NERF footballs with a PIAT? Also, DD?
They use 20gauge shotgun shells with the shot removed to fire them.

Re: WTB - Piat monopod
Could we please just stay on target here folks. This thread was started as a WTB. How come every time that somebody posts a serious thread for a purpose, the thread becomes twisted into a war story or debate about things that have nothing to do with the original post. Then those who go on to read the post get bogged down in hullabaloo that is so far fetched that they forget what the actual purpose was to begin with and they just log off. Again, this is a WTB. If you want to discuss how many legs a monopod has, start your own post, please.

Re: WTB - Piat monopod
Alternatively, I see it as a more interesting version of "Bump to the Top", which gets more people to look at the ad, possibly people who have a PIAT monopod in their stash, but don't know what they have. Also, in this case it served as a helpful discussion about the variations, so the WTB guy can narrow down what he is looking for, and convey that to the hopefully wide audience.

Re: WTB - Piat monopod
Ok, "On Target" question?
Which model does the WTB poster desire?
We now know there are at least two styles, and have derived several sources for them, so I think the WTB post became a productive discussion until it went into firing the thing.
And each time it's discussed the topic moves his request to the top.

Either/or. Preferably the single leg, adjustable version for the right price, as in my previous post.Thank you for your informative posts and staying on target.

Amen to that Maytag! Your post was certainly hijacked, primarily by the nerf post then by one which injected the status of these things being legal. You are lucky this one didn't send your thread down the wrong rabbit hole!Pvt TJ Maytag wrote: ↑Tue Dec 05, 2017 7:48 pmCould we please just stay on target here folks. Bought two this past week. Oiginals, one of each for $100 bucks a piece, plus shipping out of France. See how it's supposed to works.
