Depth Charge?
This was listed on craigslist near me, I bought it, but I'm not sure if it is really a depth charge. It does have the remains of Battleship gray paint though, any ideas?

Re: Depth Charge?
Looks more like a German (maybe Kreigsmarine) oil drum to me. Here's a link to a barrel just like yours.

Re: Depth Charge?
Not KM oil drum...
Look at the picture you have referenced;
The bands on the KM drum are equally space, the drum being three equal sections.
If you look at the supposed depth charge pic initially provided, it is quite obvious that the sections are not evenly spaced. There are also a ton of rivets which would not be used on an oil drum. My .02 worth.

I have had a few riveted oil and gas drums. They were from the 20's to the 40's. That was the way they made them pre welding days
