M2 and M3 Extractor Compatability

Post by gfbeef » Fri Oct 13, 2017 12:18 pm

In my .50 Cal. Browning I have an M3 bolt. I noticed that the arm on the extractor was getting bent so I ordered an M3 extractor. I received what looks like an M2 extractor; the moving arm moves parallel with the bold. The M3 arm moves perpendicular with the bolt. The Question, are they interchangeable? Thought I would just ask before I screw up the pooch by trying.
Thanks, Mike

Been through this. They are not interchangeable. The "switch" and "ramp" in the left sideplate will not work with the opposite extractor. Return it for the right one.
