Have anyone ever done this? How? Rubber stamp with latex plaint? rubber stamp with stamp pad ink?
paint masking too slow and overspray issues and cost.

Very tricky time consuming. Originals ink roll stamped, rubber stamp rolled on will work, but getting the ink stamp lettering correct difficult, a few pics of original WW2 shells. For collectibility, best left alone as is. Ordnance with lettering, original commands higher price and usually rare.

Hi Dan
here are some pix of how i restored projos of various film projects. I can't take credit for coming up with the technique of rolling over inked rubber stamps - that idea came straight out of the TM 9-1905 Ammunition Renovation.
I used individual letters made by a company called Ribtype. Enough of the right fonts to choose from. Inked with oil based ink from Speedball. And rolled away! The one shot of my actual stamps in use is for the fiber tubes I made for Fury. Did a lot of projos and tubes this way for Fury. Also, ORD 11 was my source for getting the colors and markings correct.
Good luck! (sounds like you're getting ready for an on-camera shoot?)
Stay safe!
