Re: m2hb replica
I hope the interest in replicas still lives out there. The economy is sagging and free time in the shed for a project is thin. Any man cave with a Browning replica in the corner is a man's cave whether it's mounted or just lying on the floor! C'mon, get busy!

Good to see you're still around Mike. Haven't done much with mine other than an m3 tripod and still working bugs out of the gas system!

Re: m2hb replica
All's well here but precious little time for time consuming replica building. I guess I'm completely spent and exhausted in the M2 arena. Now it's a Sportster and the golf cart that I look forward to. I've had a German helmet for decades and I wear it when I ride the Sportster. It's not DOT approved but I like it. I can hear with it where as with a normal motorcycle helmet most of the ambient sounds are muffled too much. Not safe in town. I still trip out to the shed on the weekends and it seems so bare without the Browning parts stacked everywhere. There's not even a fragment left. Maybe a rivet or two but nothing recognizable. Here's a picture from last Sunday. A little blurred but still a recent picture and my "barn find" $2000 1999 1200 Sportster.

Brendan, Bill, it's good to see you're still looking in on the forum. I haven't been so focused on it lately myself. Life gets complicated the older you get. I always thought that as one aged that life was made easier on them by the younger people around them. Wow!, What a silly misconception.

The picture isn't the best, but this is what I ended up with in the end. Takes up space, and dust, in the garage, now that my 3A is gone. Had a ton of hours into the build, so I decided to keep it for nostalgic reasons.

Thanks! It was a great test of patience, that's for sure. I didn't have access to a plasma cutter, or anything like that, so I did the majority of the cutting and grinding with a Dremel tool and those little red cutoff wheels. It's no wonder it's due for a new set of brushes!

I know the feeling! I used a 4.5" angle grinder and hand files. The grinder is due for a set of brushes.
Haven't done much work but pick up a few parts and accessories when I find em. Newest addition is an M3 tripod. That's my little booger behind the gun =)
Sold the jeep but now am focusing my attention to restoring my 1944 WC52. Same truck my grandpa had in china during the war. The 50 will look good on it eventually.

I still like that rugged looking truck. You need to get busy on that one! It has a nice petina on it as it is though.

It would definitely win an ugly truck contest. I think the previous owner tiger striped it to hide it on his property. I'm sure code enforcement wouldn't be happy with half dozen WC's sitting around!

Mike, any measured drawings you'd be willing to post? especially interested in an/m2 .50 fixed mount,
as I'm an aaf re-enactor.
