250 Gallon Water Trailer G-527

Post by geargrinder » Fri Feb 24, 2017 2:59 pm

Would like to add a water trailer to our WWII display. Not
common in this area so would like to build a replica. Would
appreciate a few dimensions from any one that has access
to one of these trailers. Interested in the length of the main frame
the tank mounts on and how far the tank sits forward of the
axle. Thank you.

Thanks to the TM-2800 I was able to compare the 1 ton
G-518 cargo and the 1 ton G-527 water trailer. Even
though both trailers share the same length from the
center of the axle forward the water trailer overall
length is 9 inches shorter. Thanks for any helpful advice
or measurements.

After doing more research we found the dimensions
we were looking for in the 1947 edition of the TM 9-2800.
The 1943 and 1953 copies were help full as well.
