I'd be OK with any of those options, with the only exception being option 2. I'd have to see pics of the modern part next to an original. I've looked at a number of sources, including septic and vacuum trucks. All that I've looked at have had round "knobs" at the end of the spokes, rather than being tapered like the originals. I'd rather have a re-cast from an original, even if in brass or aluminum, before a modern part, if it's not dead-on.
