Info Request: Commercial Pintle Hook for M101a2?

As stated in title, looking for information to assist in purchase of correct pintle hook to pull M101a2 trailer with correct and original lunette ring. Have searched but did not find what I need. Thanks for any assistance you can give.

I'm certainly not disputing you because I'm the one looking for info here, but I'm wondering if we're understanding each other because I know I've read online of several folks who have bought these trailers at auction and pulled them away from the base where they were located. It's just hard to believe all these people acquired surplus pintle hooks from a CUCV or HMMWV before they bought their trailers. Just to clarify, I'm not asking about the lunette ring. I'm looking for the pintle hook that mounts to the tow vehicle. If there really are no suitable commercial ones available then so be it. I just find that really difficult to believe.

There are all kinds of "commercial" or civilian pintle hooks available on the market. Some even have a ball on the lower jaw to allow towing trailers with lunettes or ball hitches. Many bolt on to a plate that goes into a standard receiver hitch.

Ahhhhh. I misunderstood. I thought you needed the lunette. Tractor supply or similar stores carry the pintle mounts your looking for.

Thanks for the responses guys. Still looking for a size though. They come in many as tipdog said. I need to be able to buy the pintle hook before I actually have access to the trailer so I can go and drag it home. As an alternative to a spec on the hook, if someone could get me the thickness of the ring on a M101a2 that would do the trick. Thanks again, and in advance to anyone else.

It's small one that TSC carries. These only come in a few sizes in the civy world: Small (M101 sized). large(M35/M105)

I'd be thinking more of rated tonnage capacity of the hook.

Smallest one I can find anywhere is 10K, more than plenty for the M101a2. But Jason C. at etrailer says the ring can only be 1 1/4" for that one. The M101a2's ring looks thicker than that to me and I have finally run across some sketchy info online that suggests the ring is 1 5/8" thick. We don't have a TSC here for me to get my hands on their smallest to see it. I'm trying to do this all online. I'll take a look at theirs though and see if I can get some dimensions to verify.

Edit: OK after further research, turns out Jason was wrong. Standard 10K pintle hook (63013) or 20K (63014) should fit these lunettes. Both have a 1 3/4" closed hole. maybe this will help someone else in the future. Thanks to all who replied.
