Yes, cardboard sleeves similar to bazooka rounds in size, but not length. Someone may have the box photos from a manual, I have an original box at home with no partitions inside it.

Searched previous posts, someone mentioned the 86MB Arty Ammo manual here:
http://www.90thidpg.us/Reference/Manual ... nition.pdf
There are other ammo manuals on the bottom of this page:

Thanks to Rick aka "Ordnance" back in 2011

Can't see it for another hour or three for download...sigh.
An old post with a box for sale was here: viewtopic.php?f=27&t=206510&p=1208564&h ... x#p1208564

37mm rounds were packed in 20 and 8 round wooden crates. Each round was in its own cardboard tube. Each row separated by a sheet of card board. Early tubes were waxed natural colored cardboard while later ones in black cardboard tubes.

Thank for the photos Robin, very nice selection of old and new patterns.
Now if I had time to make a few of them up for my box....

W Winget,
The images from Robin say it all.
But a number of years ago, I made a couple hundred of these tubes for collectors. Embossed metal end caps, etc. Unfortunately, they've long since sold out, but I know the tubes still change hands from time to time.
So in case you encounter them - keep in mind, these are repro. (Most of mine were lacquered and/or waxed as well when i shipped them out - so they look even more like Robin's grand originals!)

Rob,

How did you go about getting these tubes reproduced? Did you know someone who could make the correct sizes and emboss the end caps?

I'm thinking I may want to make some of these myself.

Thanks

Matt
