There is a TM about that, something to do with re-manufacturing/salvaging ammunition, lots of pictures, will see if I can locate it, '45 or '46 dated.

(This response was posted on the Weapons forum earlier in April when you had posted the question there - but it might be helpful to others here too, so I copied it here)

Hi Dan

Here are some pix of how i restored projos of various film projects. I can't take credit for coming up with the technique of rolling over inked rubber stamps - that idea came straight out of the TM 9-1905 Ammunition Renovation. I've included a pic from the manual.

I used individual letters made by a company called Ribtype. Enough of the right fonts to choose from. Half inch tall is a match. Inked with oil based ink from Speedball. And rolled away! A few trial runs, and you'll figure out the right mix of rolling speed and pressure to keep from smearing the letters. The one shot of my actual stamps in use is for the fiber tubes I made for Fury. Did a lot of projos and tubes this way. Also, ORD 11 was my source for getting the colors and markings correct.

Good luck! (sounds like you're getting ready for an on-camera shoot?)

Stay safe!
