Here is a quick picture installed, lighting not to good, but a must have for the ones that collect unusual/ hard to find Shells. In fact, at the shows I haul this stuff to, everyone always asks about it. Not " pretty", but it gets attention.

I recently came across this article about restoring WW2 fiber tubes. Fantastic workmanship and attention to detail! You are a craftsman after my own heart.

I hope you would be willing to help me with some information related to these WW2 fiber shipping tubes. I make 1/6 scale WW2 custom items for 12" action figures mostly for my own collection. I have been making some 1/6 scale fiber shipping tubes of various sizes, but I have been guessing at the dimensions. I have found good dimension for the ordnance items in various technical manuals, but I cannot find sizes of the shipping containers. This is where I hope you can be of assistance.

I would greatly appreciate if you would provide the following full-size dimensions of fiber tubes:

Fiber tubes for M49A2 60mm mortar shells:
Overall length
Outside diameter
Inside diameter of the double wall lower portion
Length of the cap portion

Fiber tubes for M43A1 81mm mortar shells:
Overall length
Outside diameter
Inside diameter of the double wall lower portion
Length of the cap portion

Fiber M51 tube holding six (6) complete M49A2 60mm mortar fiber tubes:
Overall length
Outside diameter
Inside diameter of the double wall lower portion
Length of the cap portion

Many thanks in advance. You can email me directly at *removed* if appropriate.
Regards,
Jim Karol
