Smithsonian Channel show looking for contributors

Post by Alex@WeaponHunter » Mon Mar 28, 2016 10:26 am

Hello,

I have joined this forum in the hope of finding people who may wish their artillery pieces to be featured on a documentary series for the Smithsonian Channel. The series, entitled Weapon Hunter, features rare and / or hard to find pieces (of any description - artillery, tanks, cannons etc) that are in the process of being rebuilt and restored, with the intent of firing them again. We would be interested in hearing from anyone who fits this criteria (you may also have recently finished your rebuild and are intending to fire it on a private range in the coming months). We are specifically interested in the history of these weapons, as well as your interest in them. If you are interested, or know of someone you think may be, please reply to this topic. I will then contact you / provide my contact info directly.

Many thanks,

Alex McIntosh
Series Producer
Weapon Hunter Season 2

Our group has a registered m1897 75mm gun. Seen here being towed by a M2A1 half-trac.

This will be fitted to our current restoration project. A rare M3-75 tank destroyer.
