WTK Length of 105mm and 155mm U.S. WWII Fiber Tube

Post by Quest Master » Thu Mar 03, 2016 4:03 am

Wanted to know: what is the length of the U.S. WWII 105mm Howitzer M2 Container M39A1 fiber tube and 155mm Howitzer Propelling Charges (Green Bag) M45 fiber tube. If you have original period or current pictures of these tubes (or any other variations) please post them here with the overall measurements.
Thanks!
Van

I did find this site, which is very helpful, but I would like to see some original examples as well.

At the bottom of the page, it has links for: Ammunition, Fiber Containers, Cloverleaf Bundles, Boxes and Markings and Metal Containers.
Thanks,

Nice job on the finds. As you can see, that's TM9-1901. You can get a B/W copy here-

or a full color version here (in 4 parts)-
