Looking for reference on U.S. Army 6" Coast Artillery Shell
I have a pre-war (1937 I believe) U.S. Army 6" Coast Artillery Howitzer Shell (projectile). I am looking for reference on paint schemes for the projectile. It is an unfired (inert) HE example with a threaded tracer well in the base (but not base detonating). I believe the round should be painted in ordnance (HE) pre-war yellow with black stenciling. Anyone have any pictures or diagrams of the 6" Coast Artillery Shell? Thanks!
Thanks,
