Re: WANTED - 6 Pounder Wheels and Tyres
A Pair of old Dodge 1/2 Ton 5 hole Budd split rims will be what you want if you want the early gun look (with street tires), the 3/4T combat rims are offset closer in, and if when Military Tires (at least new treads), will potentially rub the shield on the one that has a shield over the tire.
I'd post over on the Dodge section.

6 pdr wheels and tyres are totally different to the US 57mm gun.

Though it appears Commonwealth forces used the US version too:

Hi Mike:
Carlisle Tires (USA) make a Ground Support Equipment tire for airport equipment in 9.00x10. It is the same height and width as the original tires and comes in 10 or 12 ply. It has a plain farm trailer ribbed tread pattern so it looks good for desert use. There are a couple of military looking chevron tread forklift tires from the same company but, while they fit the 10" rim, they are shorter and narrower than the originals. Lastly, US Army Mule tires will fit. I ran my gun on them for nigh on 15 years with no problems but they do look too small.
Rims are a tougher nut to crack. Try posting in the artillery section of the Maple Leaf Up forum.
Good luck! Mike

Cdn Gunner: Any chance of a shot of your gun with those tires? We have been using forklift tires on the various pieces at the museum, and I have a st of the mule tires to install on a 2 pdr, but they look like they are just going to be too small. I will eventually need to install proper tires on my 6pdr carriage as well, although that is likely a year or two down the road.
