57mm Rims
Are the combat style rims on the 57mm unique to this gun or are they compatible with anything else? From pictures they look like Dodge rims??????

Re: 57mm Rims
My early gun I used to have (M1, no hoop over the breech model) had what appeared to be narrower split rims (demountable), like you'd find on an WC 1/2T trucks, not the WC 3/4T series (combat rims) or later M37 demountable rim. The Combat rim and M37 rims are deeper, and this may effect the shield being rubbed.
When I placed a 3/4t combat rim on her to tow it home the 1st time, the NEW NDCC rubbed a portion of the new tire off due to lack of rim standoff. This gun had the shield portion over the tire, might not affect other model guns.
