Was curious if WW2 jeeps, tanks and arty (non-DD) required an export permit from State Department.
How about M38s, M151s, etc?
How about a WW2 M3 37mm without a breech. I've heard yes and no. I sold a WW2 jeep (unrestored) to a friend in Poland and it went right through.
I can understand more modern stuff, but what about WW2 items?
Thanks
Jason

Re: Export of WW2 jeeps, tanks, arty and etc (Export permit?
Ground vehicles (tanks) made prior to 1956 have been removed from the US Munitions list and no longer require State department export permits, exports are now handled by the Dept. of Commerce. The caveat here is they have had their weapons removed or de-milled and certified by ATF, Non-armored vehicles do not require export permits, unless they are "current military technology" and governed by ITAR such as M1070 HET's which require End User Certificates and State Department Export permission. Hope this helps
