WTK Value

Post by ragnar » Sun Jun 15, 2014 12:10 pm

Could someone, in the know, advise me on the possible value of a M2A2 Howitzer tube (barrel) in very good condition. Is there a market for such an item?

The US M2A2 is one of the most important US pieces from the WW2 Era. The Carriages are out there but the Barrels, breech-rings and breeches are hard to find. This should have a reasonably high value. For the right collector, I think the value should be in the $8,000 to $10,000 range for just the barrel in good to excellent condition.

The barrel, by its self should not require any ATF registration.

By the way, there are a number of these carriages that have come out of Greece and Canada---but they are without compete barrels and breech-rings
