I don't know the value, but there is a market for everything military, even German WW2 toilet paper......

The US M2A2 is one of the most important US pieces from the WW2 Era. The Carriages are out there but the Barrels, breech-rings and breeches are hard to find. This should have a reasonably high value. For the right collector, I think the value should be in the $8,000 to $10,000 range for just the barrel in good to excellent condition.
The barrel, by its self should not require any ATF registration.
By the way, there are a number of these carriages that have come out of Greece and Canada---but they are without compete barrels and breech-rings
