Jon
Glad to hear it's going inside - will have to take a trip over there sometime.
I have 2 x 57mm Gun Tubes available - in great condition.
Conveniently they are the same size as the 75mm How ones... so currently have my 75mm How rounds in - hence I want to swap them for the 75mm How tubes and they are not for sale.
Cheers
Tim

Re: 57mm Antitank gun
G'day Fellas,
Would it be possible to send (email or PM) me Eric's details as well please.
We have an Aust. 6 Pdr Anti-Tank Gun which is missing it's sight mount also. Whilst not exactly the same as a 57mm, they are extremely close and would like to find out more from Eric. Our gun is still a work in progress, have been side-tracked on other things but this post and sight mount possibilities is extremely interesting.
Would also like to see some photos if possible.
Really appreciate the help.
Kind Regards,
Darian - South Australia

Hi Darian,
Would something like this help?
I took this and several others at the Military Vehicle Technology Foundation. Let me know if you need more.

Re: 57mm Antitank gun
Here is the 57mm that I help restore for the local NG unit.
It is towed behind a CCKW and an ammo trailer.
We rigged it to shoot blanks.

Re: 57mm Antitank gun
Bill, I tried to contact Eric, the builder of a very nice reproduction sight mount but I never received a reply. I'm not sure what happened or if he is still doing such work. Also, a metalsmith friend and I built three new part boxes that go on the inside of the right shield based on one that we removed from a monument gun (with permission!). I still have one of them left. Finally, I am guessing if you do not have the segments you do not have the segment hardware. Please see my 57mm post on this "artillery" forum for photos of what I mean. It is currently near the very top of page two.

To: DaninNM,
I realize that your post about the 57mm tow rope is from 2013, but I am interested, as I have acquired a 57. Do you still have tow ropes available?

To DaninNM,
Your post about your 57 mm AT gun tow rope was a couple of years ago. Do you still make them? I always like to have all the accessories on my equipment.

Re: 57mm Antitank gun
I'll donate an original WWII 57mm AT gun ammo box to you if you pay the shipping?....for your display. Could also possibly give you a 1" steel pate with a 57mm hole drilled in it from about two hundred yards away...if I find it.
