very cool. Love the chests.
If your gun doesn't leak oil, it's time for a bigger gun.

Thanks for the photos - am astounded that so far noone from the USA has been able to contribute to this thread - I felt sure that the USA would have all the answers, but so far the only people I know with these chests (all incomplete) are here in Europe!
This is a good pic... it has the middle tray sitting in the top tray - which is a good starting point for a repro and in the bottom section of the top tray I can see the missing parts from mine well enough to be able to get them made.
I know Craig has a chest too - he says he has the middle tray - so perhaps that's where the ebay one went - am waiting for him to let me have some photos.
The clear label photo is great - I can pop a lamintated repro into my box (will leave the original as it is at the moment).
The bottom of my tool chest isnt as oily as yours - so I can see "ghost" images where some of the wooden parts used to be. Also... these missing blocks are very similar to those in the pressure kit box - given that the parts which go into this part of the chest are the same parts found in the Pressure test box.
Would be nice to get the right tools - any idea who would have manufactured the wrenches and sockets?
Cheers
Tim

Tim, the bottom of my chest isn't oily, it's rotted out!! needs some new wood anyway, the 2 circular disks are leather, for the gauges to rest on I think.
How are the 2 top trays supported then?? anyway, hope we'll have some workable pictures soon, and I can have drawings made if you want.
Dustin, will post some more Pack Accesories pictures later, there's some interesting stuff!
Grtz,
Lex

On mine the 2 circular disks are felt - same as on the smaller pressure test kit box.
From what I can tell, the two gauges go into the bottom of the box, along with all of the other parts, the middle tray rests on top of the pressure gauges, then the top tray rests on top of the middle tray to the right, and to the left, fittings which screw under the top tray on the left rest on top of the tools in the bottom tray.

In the above photo you can see the dirt marks where the fitting sits on top of the socket which are located below.
I think the other fitting which is missing (lower red ring) may be similar to that in the small pressure test kit box - to hold the "pressure branch" in place (tube with the 3 wing nuts on the end for the gauges and oil reservoir)... in the upper red ring may have been some "pads" to hold other parts.
If Craig has the other box, I fear he is also missing these parts.
However, I think we are moving in the right direction to get the boxes sorted out.
Just need to find all the tools now!

That's postwar, also for the 105mm, but will work, I have one myself.

Tim, have only a couple of tools, the special ones, not the normal spanners, sockets etc.

Re: 75mm Pack Howitzer - Special Repair Tool Chest
I just found the calibration set as shown in the picture just above my post . I am missing the wrench TKKX2H , one of the adapters A714910 and the oil cup that is on the left side in the middle of the tray . Anybody have any of these parts ?
Also I am looking for any other of the special tools in the other kit . Thanks Warren Duchesne

Alas not - my kit is sparse by comparison... if you find any spares, please let me know.Warren Duchesne wrote:I just found the calibration set as shown in the picture just above my post .
