I have one, but it is strictly a lawn ornament at this time. I have most of the manuals and literature on it too, but have not really had time to go through it all.

I need some parts for a restoration project,

Traverse operators seat arm or good drawings so I can get one cast
Elevation operators seat arm or good drawings so I can get one cast
Lunette
Firing platforms (a pair)
fuse setter
Telescopic sites for both sides
Ratchet tool that fits on hub square section for moving bogie back and forth.

Regarding the firing platforms I have looked at the ones on the 90mm in St Marie Eglise, France and they are made from alluminum but the 90mm in the Liberty Museum in Overloon, Holland has platforms made from steel.

Can anyone tell me which is correct for WW2 or are they both correct?

I did take plenty of photos and drawings of the ones in France with a view to making them myself, but if there are any about for sale it would be a whole lot easier.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Hi Aaron,

are they WW2 dated or post war? are these the ones you had stored away when I bought the 90mm canvas cover from you some time ago?

Yes those would be the same 90mm ammo crates. They're stored somewhere. And if I recall, they were post WWII.

Yes, the Aberdeen M2 is here at Sill, as are their M1 120mm and the T3 105mm AA guns. There are four 90mm AA guns on post here, two M1A1s and two M2s. Three of those are in the museum collection. The fourth is 31st ADA Brigade's M1A1, which is currently painted in standard NATO Camouflage and needs a number of components.

Jim,

The firing platforms on our M1A1 are steel and they're ridiculously heavy to mount on it for travel mode. I haven't seen aluminum ones, but of the four M1A1s that I've dealt with, only 2 had platforms and they were both steel.

If you'd like, email me a list of what you're looking for and I'll see if we can get some good detail photos and measurements for you.

Jon

I am also missing my firing platforms, and am not counting on finding a set any time soon. But I did have the pleasure of working on the 90mm at the local military museum, and had to move the platform sections onto the gun. What a PIA....pressed steel, heavy and just plain awkward to handle them. But would I ever love to find a pair of them!

Hi Jim: Did you ever get around to replicating the canvas cover for the 90mm? Ubique! Mike
