I have a fuze setter for the US 3 Inch/50 Naval Gun for sale. The training round is included. I am asking $450 but will consider artillery related trade offers:

Thanks Ralph, but right now I'm focusing on items to get my gun running and shooting, so I need to direct my funds (what little I have left!) towards those types of items. Ralph, I know you are the cannon guru, where might I find an operators manual or disassembly instruction for this gun?

TIA,

Austin

I rebuilt a US 3 inch/50 about 15 years ago. I'll check to see if I have any manuals from this project. I seem to remember that the naval gun has some interchangeable parts with the 3 inch Anti-Tank Gun. This maybe just the gun tube but think it was also the breech/breechring. Another possible direction is to contact the US Naval Yard Museum in Washington DC now being referred to as the "National Museum of the US Navy" to see if they have any resources they could copy.

Which mark of 3"/50 do you have? This is a good place to start: http://www.navweaps.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Ralph, think you might be getting your guns mixed up. Don't think there is anything interchangeable between the 3/50 and 3" army. Army uses a AA tube with a sliding breach and nitrogen recoil system. 3/50 uses a falling block with its own unique tube, and an oil spring recoil system.
