Post by dcbrew3025 » Fri Apr 15, 2011 7:08 am

Hi all,

I am looking for the wiring diagram for the M45C trailer mounted Quad 50. I am restoring one and all the wiring has been cut off. I just want to make it turn left & right and up & down. Also, hooking up the lil joe. Any help would be great. Thanks in advance for any help.
I had 1952 M38, 1952 M100, 1984 CUCV, 1966 M416,

Doug,

I have scanned and uploaded all of the Quad 50 manuals to scribd.com.

Here's a link to just one of the manuals.
http://www.scribd.com/doc/28274775/Quad ... -Mount-M45" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Go to scribd and look up my name Matt Ferdock and Quad 50 and you should see all of them.

Download away!

Matt

From what I can see the following manuals for the Quad Mount are available as PDFs:
- FM 44-57 - Jan 29 1945 - Service of the Piece - Multiple Machine Gun Mounts
- ORD 7 SNL A-61 - May 11 1954 - Group A Organizational Maintenance Allowances for Mount, Trailer, Multiple Cal. .50 Machinegun, M55 (Composed of Mount, Machinegun, Multiple Cal. .50, M45; and Trailer, 1-ton, 2-wheel, Machinegun Mount, M20)
- ORD 7 SNL A-61 - April 10 1956 - Group A Organizational Maintenance Allowances for Mount, Trailer, Multiple Cal. .50 Machinegun, M55 (Composed of Mount, Machinegun, Multiple Cal. .50, M45; and Trailer, 1-ton, 2-wheel, Machinegun Mount, M20) - Two PDF versions are out there - one with a Stan Poole business card on front page and one without
- ORD 7-8-9 SNL G-220 - Sept 1 1944 - Army Service Forces Ordnance Supply Catalog - Combined Organizational Spare Parts and Equipment, Higher Echelon Spare Parts and Equipment (addendum), Service Parts Catalog, for Mount, Trailer, Multiple Cal. .50 Machinegun, M55 - Trailer, Mount, M20 Portion Only
- TM 9-222 - June 8 1943 - Multiple Cal. .50 Machine Gun Mount M45
- TM 9-2010 - December 12 1953 - Multiple Cal. .50 Machine Gun Mounts M45, M45C, M45D, and M45F - Multiple Cal. .50 Machine Gun Trailer Mount M55 and Mount Trailer M20

There was also a PS Magazine article " The Son of 4 Guns... Your M55 Quad .50s"

There are a couple more manuals that I can not find as PDFs and would like copies of. They are:
- TM 9-789 Trailer Mount M20
- SNL G-401 Mount, Machine Gun, Multiple, Caliber .50, M45

Does anyone know of any other Quad Manuals out there?

Robert,

Did you ever find these manuals?

There are a couple more manuals that I can not find as PDFs and would like copies of. They are:

Did you find the wiring diagram for the quad 50?

I need help on the receptacles for the solenoid cables. Mine are non-functioning. Any advice?

Thanks

Matt

BB,

SNL G-401 is referenced in ORD-7-8-9-SNL-G-220 for the Quad 50. I've yet to see one however.

Thanks
