Oil engine
above+32F-SAE 30
+32F to 0F-SAE 10
below 0F-See OFSB 6-11
What this means?
Jeep Willys MB DoD dec,16 1942 s/n:196275
Dodge B3-B 4x2 1952 s/n:90099559
CCKW 353 Banjo 1944 s/n:309623

Not sure exactly what 0fsb 6-11 is completely but. There is an old obsolete API spec gas engine oil called SB that was sold in low viscosity's for gas engine use in below 0 deg. F. temps.
It is not spec'ed for use in engines newer that 1951.

Hi Fernando
You obviously realise that 0f means zero degrees Fahrenheit. The OFSB 6-11 would, I believe, refer to a Service Bulletin dealing with preparation and possibly operation of the vehicle below 0 degrees Fahrenheit. (Approximately -18 degrees C)

Ok.I was looking today in TM10-1513 for jeep and saw:
Engine oil-Below 0 degrees F-SAE10W plus 10% KEROSENE
Jeep Willys MB DoD dec,16 1942 s/n:196275
Dodge B3-B 4x2 1952 s/n:90099559
CCKW 353 Banjo 1944 s/n:309623

Hi Fernando:

OFSB means Ordnance Field Service Bulletin. "6" is the series for Lubrication bulletins. "11" possibly means the 11th OFSB issued for Lubrication in series 6. Stay lubricated, my friend. :)
