CCKW SWB'S

Post by Joe Gopan » Sun Jun 04, 2017 8:48 am

Ever notice that the USA Registration on the majority Euro Return of Open Cab SWB CCKW's is usually that of 1941-1942 era trucks that were originally hard cabs, and that many of these same Open Cab CCKW SWB's have Airborne Cab features?
Mine is USA-454317, delivered in May 1941 and had been refitted with an open cab. It is now back to 1st Series Hard Cab.

Not quite the same post subject, but I have seen Nato rebuild short/open cab CCkw's with 353 serial nos.[long wb] on the frames, and short 352's with 353 batt boxes again NATO rebuilds. Newc
