M5H6 Registry

Post by fritz maurer » Sat Jan 28, 2017 2:20 pm

Somebody on this forum was putting together a list of M5H6 serial numbers for a registry. I can't find the guy again because I'm still trying to get the hang of navigating this website. I have seen M5H6s posted elsewhere on this site with their six digit serial numbers, a '44 and a'45. According to my title, my M5H6 is a '45, bearing the S/N 24150. This is the source of my confusion. Based on what I have learned on G503, either the year or the S/N is incorrect. The engine S/N on the title is verifiable, at 19018. The truck S/N is lost to history, unless it's stamped in the frame someplace. My Dad purchased the truck in '55 with a canvas top and installed a KB-7 cab shortly thereafter. I was hoping somebody might know this gentleman with the registry and be able to direct me to him. Thanks, Fritz
