"ONE PIECE AT A TIME" - JOHNNY CASH

Post by Joe Gopan » Sun Sep 20, 2015 9:32 pm

How true it rings, been piecing my almost restored CCKW together for 33 years, am always on the lookout for NOS cosmetic parts, today was a surprise find of an NOS Louvered early CCKW Tail Lamp. Wasn't planning on using the pre war tail light on my 1941 CCKW, but will give it some serious thought.

I disagree. When Johnny Cash was finished assembling all the parts he smuggled out in his lunchbox, the resultant Cadillac was an amalgamation of many different years of production that didn't fit together correctly.

One piece at a time works fine for me and practice makes perfect.

Ben, I'm confused. The pictures I have seen of your 352 make it appear to have all 1940 - 1945 parts on it, yet if you have been true to the lyrics of the song as you say "one piece at a time", the truck should look like an amalgamation of 2.5 ton truck parts from subsequent years. :o Right???? Well what gives Mac? :)

Ben adding bits and pieces since 1983, at first some pieces big,, they get smaller as the years go by.
