I only remember the Dodge VK and WK heavy duty 3-ton trucks having ten-lug Budd rims, presumably the Burma Dodge did too but not sure.

they where used in auto car U7144T, International H-542-9, refueling trailers, i think most of the trucks over 2 1/2 ton.
i think they are the same as used on civilian trucks of the time.

Do you know what offset you need? Wheels were made with different offsets to accommodate different width tires. This is particularly critical on a set of duals to allow enough clearance between the tires of the dual set to not rub sidewall to sidewall when loaded, etc.

I too am looking for wheels: 7 20" 10-hole Budd wheels for my DD115, Budd part number 33061. I don't know yet what the offset is for this part number. A friend of mine has a 1938 Budd wheel catalog that he is scanning in to send to me, and that part number is in his catalog. I'll share details on 33061 when I'm able.

Best to buy from a seller that is familiar with WWII Trucks and Trailers that use the correct wheel you are looking for.

Hmmm,

There a many different widths of wheel that are all WW2 10 hole Budd rims. I have several different widths of rim, all for the 900x20 tire, presumably. They vary from 7 1/2" - 8 1/2" from bead to bead. Go figure?!

Then there are the variations I've found for the 1100x20 wheels and 1200x20 wheels.

It seems that the width of a rim is about 2" less than the stated width of the tire.
Can any experts shed some light on this, please?

Happy hunting for your rims.

Sam.

The Tractors that pulled these trailers used a Budd Model 33287 20 X 8" wheel. It is logical to assume that the trucks that were used for these trailers would share the wheel. Problem I am having is that the parts manuals for this trailer was Army AF TO (Tech Order) If you have a wheel from one of these trailers that has the manufacturers Part Number stamped on it, it would be a plus.
The 4 Ton DT 6X6 used a BUDD 44460 20 X 8.
I do not have any Budd Wheel factory specs for details such as offset.

And I gave away a nice F-1 Tandem Axle) Trailer that I bought from GSA back a few years ago. These F-1 and F-2 Trailers may still haunt your State and US Forest Service junkyards around the country.
