Who may be owner of Studebaker US6x4 (U6) with Navy-style stake semi-trailer? Photo from "A history of the 1321st Engineer General Service Regiment" book.

I looked in the Major War Contracts book... no Studebaker contracts listed with the USN/USMC 1940-1945.

Does not mean they did not use them, but there were no contracts over $50,000.

You write about the contracts book of Studebaker? US Navy received some vehicles under contracts which were signed by QMC or Ordnance department. But they could not have registration numbers.

That is great data and answers the question.

I wonder where they got their service and spare parts, thru the Army also?
