I can just see that chicken wire tightly wrapped around the axles of a truck mired down in soft "sugar" sand.

The alternative is to do nothing and fail the mission. The WWII Engineers were well trained full of effective solutions.

Interesting to see that the Chevy in the begin of the movie has the high exhaust like the GMC's.
