the xfer case is different. it is 1x1 in hi range.

I looked at one of these in maine 20 + years ago.

ben, remember the bishop brothers?

the engine uses an updraft carb and manifold so a 270 should work if you have the manifold and carb

I have just about every accessory repair kit for the GMC 270 CCKW engines......water pump, oil pumps, starter, generators, brakes, etc..... and some engine block parts fyv-o-5 tew-syxx-nyner 2-0-fyv-syxx

The engine in this truck is a 248.5 C.I. Will the 270 parts interchange? And Oh yeah, congrats on the save, can't wait to see the photos.

I believe we actually for an engine for this project!
