Duece M135 firetruck

Postby Spec4Don » Fri Aug 10, 2012 8:30 pm

Finally had a little time, that and the weather got hot  so I figured it was time to get the Fire Truck out of the barn. 1951 M135 it was converted to a fire truck by some very talanted millwrights. It was a first out engine in the 60's and 70's but finished it's career as a brush rig. I bought it sealed bid (for a really good price) 1000 gallons of water and a 250gpm pump. Starts and runs great. Still has the Civil defense sticker on it. Living out in the urban interface it's nice to have water on wheels. Somebody told me once the difference between a controlled burn and a fire is about 6 seconds :D
