Hi Ben,

I have some NOS mud flaps holding down a tarp over some surplus parts in my back yard. Do you have a photo of the mud flaps you that are looking for ? If not how can a person ID the correct CCKW mud flaps ?

Thanks,
I'll post a pic, with height width, and space between the channels Saturday. 2-1/2 Ton M-series are wider as the M-35 use the wider 9.00 X 20 compared to CCKW. I am looking for just two NOS. The former museum at Ft McCoy had a pile of NOS in the late 80's.

Here's a CCKW.
Splash Guards are 24 1/4" H X 20" W
10" between centers of grooves.

I would like to find 2 originals in new condition. There are several hole patterns, some had extra holes for the exhaust pipe clamp, some had holes for extra reflectors all had holes for braces that go to body. The key is the 3 measurements.

Hi Ben,

Thanks for the measurements and photo !

Looks like the mud flaps that I have will not do for your CCKW application since they are slightly different in dimensions.

The ones that I have are 10" centers on the ribs, 20 1/8" wide, and 24 7/8" tall. Sorry about getting your hopes up.

Thanks, Tom
The dimensions for yours are indeed CCKW. These Splash Guards will vary a bit, even on intact trucks

The first dimensions I gave you had a typo error, They are 20" X 24 3/4", not 20" X 20-1/4"

I just went out and moved the CCKW out. Note the variations of the 4 on my CCKW
20" X 24-3/4"
20-1/8" X 24-7/8"
20-1/4" X 24-7/8"
20-1/8" X 25"
20-1/8" X 25" on a beat up spare.

PM me the condition of and how much for two. Splash Guards.

Hi Ben,

You write
Crickets......
And you had posted this
PM me the condition of and how much for two. Splash Guards.
I can not reply with a how much since I never wrote that they were for sale. Some Gee users are constantly posting they have this item or that item in their spare parts and I did the same and also to ID what I have with the shared knowledge of the Gee.

Even if I was to let go of two NOS CCKW mud flaps it would be by trade only and since I am 850% sure you would not trade that item which I would want there is no reason to bring it up.

I am curious how to identify an original splash shield from a reproduction unit. The images are of the shields that were on my truck (G506). These are 20 inches wide, 24 7/8 inches high, the stiffener creases are on 10" centers and are made of 12 gauge steel. There are no identifying marks on them.
I think I know the answer to this question but I am interested in hearing other opinions.

Brian

Originals are tempered and not as malleable. I have got a couple sets for my truck and am just trying to upgrade.some thta still have slight creases after much hammering and straightening.
Yours appear to be reproductions.

I recently acquired a stack of these. They all appear to be unused that came from a long time collectors estate. Not sure is "NOS" or repo.
Joel,
How does one tell if they are nos or repo?
Thanks
Jay

Good question. If they were mine, I would take one of my distorted originals and grip it by the corner in my large Wilton Vise (about 3" in diagonally) and give it a bend. Do the same to one in question, it will be obvious.
It is hard to tell by drilling as originals drill easy. I'll buy a sample and inspect it for you. CCKW and Chevy 4X4 several part numbers for similar splash guards all are similar with minor differences.
