Not the same, as the postwar Harrison Jeep Heater, it is configured for the 1941- 1945 GMC 1574/1608 CCKW Cab only. The heater core and plumbing on back as well as sheet metal bracketing with studs on back are not configured for CJ Firewall. Not even close.
I have had a dozen chances to sell these to CJ-2A/CJ-3A/CJ-3B owners over the years and have advised the Jeep owners not to buy them due to the difference.

Very well but the basic design of the exterior less the rear panel and heater core as you state Ben sure looks the same. Be nice to see a pic of the rear panel and by the way, what is the model number? I'm sure there is a plate stamped with it on the back panel as are on the CJ type. Just curious.

These are wartime configuration that entered the system circa March 44, long before the CJ-2A CJ-3A firewall configuration appeared. There is no data plate with Harrison Model No. or logo on the housing. The heater unit assy has an assigned GM Number 3117868. Frank von Rosensteil may have spare manuals for sale which illustrate the heater configuration. These are a CCKW item only.
Also, the MB/GPW firewall is different configuration than CJ-2A-CJ-3B and the CCKW Heater Kit will not fit under the dash.

Ben, Thanks for the response. I've seen the Deluxe models on E-Pay for the late 40's, 50's chevy cars and trucks but never this one. You learn something new every day. :o

These NOS GI Issue heaters were issued from 1944 thru the 50's while the CCKW was still in the US Army system, I have one installed in my 1941 CCKW, and several in stock, will trade one for Rare CCKW cosmetic items. Will accept CCKW SWP Spare Tire Lock as partial trade.
