Can anybody identify what vehicle this went in? Dodge WC? CCKW?
- Marked Stewart Warner 400083 at the bottom of the face of the dial
- It’s also stamped Stewart Warner in script on the back.
- The capillary tube is approximately 60” long

Re: WTK: Stewrt Warner temp gauge ??
Hi
I believe that's belongs to a ww2 diamond T truck and federal wreckers
60 foots long you say.
It is correct for VEP jeep but not correct as the tube its too long but it's correct for diamonds T trucks.
Is it for sale or not.
Cheers Peter

Re: WTK: Stewrt Warner temp gauge ??
Thanks for the reply, Peter. Just to re-clarify the flexible capillary tube is 60 INCHES long. That is precisely why it didn't seem like a Jeep gauge.
My first step was trying to identify it.
It might be for sale, but I'd like to try to get a sense of its value based on the low and high end of previous sales of a gauge in similar condition (i.e., mint-y dial and no broken tube).

That's ok we have a Diamond T trucks as well and they are 60 foot long.
If it's for sale how much you want the gauge for.
Peter

I listed this as a Wanted to Know (not a sales ad) because I am just fact-finding for now. If that changes, I will re-read everything and the PM's I have gotten.
