WTB Chevy G506 front winch support angle

Post by retro-roco » Wed May 31, 2017 8:49 am

The winch is riveted to the frame extensions, or the winch extensions are riveted to the frame? I was of the impression that the winch was bolted on. There are 2 (or was it three??) bolts at the rear. The front support angle (which also supports the roller and cable drum guard) I thought was bolted to the underside of the frame extensions...

Here is the part I'm looking for...

Kirk, I thought that you had spoken with Kelley about fabricating these parts. Also the pattern for the winch is two bolts fore and aft into the worm drive housing, one bolt, nut and washer fore and aft on the dog clutch side. These two are larger diameter than the W.D.H. bolts.

Yep, you're right. I have a dimensioned fabrication drawing, and I have an original that could be restored with some minor work (for someone like Kelley). I guess I'm just hoping to find an original... If one doesn't turn up, I've got a couple options.

Roger, understood. Seems that the Pacific North West is chock-full of Chevy's, Jimmy's and Studies. Probably due to the close proximity of the Al-Can Hwy. In fact, I was told of two more Chevy's not more than 1/2 mile from where I live. They belong to the owner of a big concrete pouring company in the area. I know which company it is and will try to contact the owner soon. In the meantime, I got my eyes open for another front winch cross member.
