235 Intake and Exhaust Manifolds
Will the WW2 Intake and Exhaust manifolds of the 235 fit a later model 235 with out alteration?

One main difference is the location and attachment method of the head pipe.

Re: 235 Intake and Exhaust Manifolds
From what I am reading, the only thing that needs to be done is to use Stepped Alignment rings.

Re: 235 Intake and Exhaust Manifolds
I do not, I am looking at putting the WW2 parts from the original WW2 Engine on a later model 235. My WW2 235 is way to costly to rebuild at this time, and I have a rebuilt later model 235 already to use.Ben Dover wrote:Do you need a WWII G-506 235 Manifold assy?

Re: 235 Intake and Exhaust Manifolds
I don't have an answer, but there are Sites dedicated to Stove Bolt 6 that may list all the options.

Re: 235 Intake and Exhaust Manifolds
I believe that the ex manifold will work fine, though the exhaust flange is at an angle, but that is not a problem once you have a new header pipe made. The intake on the newer engines has bigger openings in the head and bigger alignment rings.

Yes, the stepped alignment rings are all that is needed to use an original G506 intake/exhaust on an insert bearing (1954-62) 235 or 261. The throttle linkage may need some fabrication dependent on the year of the donor engine (1959-62).
