Hi Zeph,
Thanks! The truck is coming along, I wish I had more time to work on it. The forge as configured is definitely one of a kind. Now all I need is some time to use it. Your Carryall and Command cars look great, everything around here is a rusty mess. hopefully this truck will help mend a few like it.

Greetings Tony, She's definitely up to the task except for maybe the brakes and a few other minor odds and ends, I still need to finish hooking them up.The Parking brake works well though.

Hey Kirk,
Working on site with the crew is a blast, Even on the coldest cloudiest days breaking balls and cracking jokes with the guys is the best part of my job.
Time spent in the office, although super important really sucks. A day or 2 a week in the shop or on a jobsite helps ease the pain of office work.

Hi Guys,
Been working my Ass off, no time to work on my trucks, but I did manage to send my super nice gas tank and straps that Newc sold me to get cleaned out, sealed and then off to get blasted and painted. I have also spent time designing the filler neck and gathering all the bits and pieces needed to install it the correct frame mounted fuel filter (Thanks Paul) hopefully it will be getting installed soon.
Here's a pic of the tank...

Yesterday afternoon we drove the truck outside and fired up the coal forge for a couple of hours, it worked really well.

Hey Jon,

You sure have created a unique machine. Blacksmithing looks quite fun, especially if one has all of the tools. I could certainly make good use of that forge for general fabrication and repair.

Very nice metalwork, and nice progress on the truck. Makes me want to hurry up and get some other projects finished up, so I can get restarted on mine.

Thanks DRH,
Your truck rehab thread has inspired me to get going on my cab.
Here's a quick rotisserie I put together to make it easier to work on and not just sitting on a pallet in the middle of the shop.

It took about 40 mins to strip the back of the cab, those things work great!

AAAAAAAALLLL RIIIIIIIGHT KELLEY!! Everything looks great, the engine, the frame, and the lower back end of the cab. Them paint grinding wheels are the best, they even leave the steel "surface prepped" for primer. Keep up the great work buddy.
I just gotta ask about the little area under your gas tank. I see a custom welded 'rail' around the top of the black tool box. IS THAT A LITTLE NAP AREA, and is the rail to keep you from falling down??? :D I see you have already installed quite a few little throw pillows there, looks comfeee!!!

Hi Guys,
I sent my cab and doors to a local body shop to get finished and painted. It was an easy choice to send it to this particular shop, the place is full of WWII and M series Iron :D .

I'm getting a little time off for Christmas and New year, maybe I can get it mounted on the truck?

That cab looks really nice. I'm happy to see that the body shop didn't grind off the welds where the "A" pillars meet the cowl. :)

Thanks John and Dave,
I'm really happy with the way it came out, next up is getting it back on the truck.
