1942 Dodge WC 52 w/Winch. body is in great shape. Few rust holes in tool boxes, few dents and dings. This truck is a turn key vehicle. Runs excellent! Drives great, and stops in a hurry. This is not a matching all original show vehicle. It has some dents, dings, repro parts, repro data plates, and a few other odds and ends. Has new canvas seats with original springs, new canvas top, front, back and both flaps. The bed is a late composite body that needs new wood, troop seats are present. Has a post war NOS wiring harness for electrical in excellent shape. Lights all work with the exception of the high beam button. Transmission shifts flawlessly, hi-low works flawlessly, and the FWD goes in and out with a little M-A-N but works great. E-Brake holds well on a decent hill. Acceleration is excellent, no flat spots in the carb. Carb was professionally rebuilt not too long ago. Winch has been used for recovery and is very powerfull! Engine starts within two or three revolutions and idles perfectly. Has original Trico Vacume Wiper Motors that work great and the blades are new and in excellent condition. The fastest we have had it is 45 MPH and it drives straight with no vibration. It is definitely a comfortable ride, especially in the summer!
Registered in the state of Ca. Current tags, current weight permits and all paperwork necessary for transfer and onwership is present and available.
Issues:
-The high beam button needs to be fixed as it is stuck on low.
-The original horn works great but the button on the steering wheel is missing a contact and does not operate at this time.
-Needs new tires soon, as these ones are worn and are cracking.
-Bumper needs to be cleaned up and a crack welded.
-The paint job is reenactor grade. Someone prior sprayed O.D. over the old flaked and chipped paint. I just added the markings over that as it was needed for a film shoot. So, eventually it could use a painting.
-The bed needs new wood slats.
-Has a few of the usual oil leaks on the engine, axles, and ball joints.
-Brakes are good but need to be replaced soon (Have new set in the box included)
