Need Help Identifying This Item

Post by Steve Greenberg » Thu Nov 30, 2017 7:34 pm

Hello,
Does anyone know what this is and what it fits??? I got it with a bunch of M3A1 Stuart parts several years ago. It is 24 volts so it is not for a Stuart!
Thanks,
Steve

radio dynamotor, for some squid aircraft, youd have to ask the squids up in the radio section.

It is the or a standard 800 CPS nverter mostly used in multi-engine Navy patrol aircraft such as the PBM and PBY plus maybe a few unlucky TBF's. Used to power several Liaison transmitter models such as GO and GP and some countermeasures sets. Input, as you noted, is 28VDC. Output is 115 VAC @ 800 CPS. About 800 Watts. Could also be used (but normally wasn't) to run the TBW. AFAIK, not used or not much used by AAF.
