Some more progress made on the ht. I have been working in the engine compartment and around the cab. I had to cut out the bottom of the battery box and replace it. Also restored the shielded ignition wires and box.

Work on the rear idler posts is finished. I had the posts turned and the shackles bored and bushings put in. Most of the wear was in the shackle. I also had a thrust washer made to take up the space left between the shackle and post flange.

Gary, your project looks fantastic. Could you tell me what brand and color your engine paint is. The color looks like a good match to the original. Thanks, Neil

I put new bearings in the rear idlers and put the tracks on, hopefully for good. The bed is put on for winter storage. I have the windshield armor in place to make some minor adjustments and to check how well I straightened the windshield frame. The last pic is where it stands today. I will be working on the smaller items for the winter.

Finally starting to dig into the trans/transfer case. So far a couple broken mounting ears on the top of the trans, main gear has two chipped teeth and it looks like the reverse countershaft gear has some wear. Someones been in this before and it has some newer bearing. The transfer case looks good so far. I'll be taking the trans further apart this week.
If anyone has any suggestions on these things let me know.

Thanks Gary
