HT Floor Board Repaint

Postby steve1973 » Wed May 09, 2012 5:39 pm

I decided to work on my floor boards in my halftrack. They are the early aluminum ones and didn't want to ruin them by dipping or commercial sandblasting. So, I did them my self with my Harbor Freight blast cabinet. For the most part it did a good job. There was some stuff on them that I just couldn't penetrate so I left it alone. Didn't want to damage the aluminum more than I had to. My buddy Mike painted them and they look fantastic.

Have to wait till after July till I can dig into the rear section. Plus, someone else has their track in my shop. When I do get to it I have a better center floor section to put in it so the entire rear will be taken apart, blasted and painted.
