Halftrack frame question.

Looking for info on what model Halftracks came with the double frames. Any info is helpfull.

When talking about the White, Autocar and Diamont-T halftracks there are two basic chassis or frame models, the M2 and M3. The M3 varient is the one with a double sandwiched frame. This goes for the M16's, M15's and other gun motor carrages. The M2 and it's single frame wasn't designed to handle the added stresses of having a mounted gun. There are exceptions to this as seen with the M16B, quad 50 monted on an M2. As for International halftracks I have no idea what that frame is like. Hope this helps.

That answers my question. I just didn't know if there were only certain models that got the double frame. Thanks for the input.
