Re: CHECK IT OUT!! Harley-Davidson WLC info!!
Ever since I published the WLC pages, I had listed scans of the WLC Modification Instructions as issued by the CREME.
I knew of a total of 8, but had only found 7 of them to put online...
Now thanks to a WLC owner, who sent me the missing N°7, they are all listed...
Number 7 lists the changeover of throttle and timing handles, brake and clutch...
http://www.theliberator.be/LiberatorIma ... tion7a.jpg" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
http://www.theliberator.be/LiberatorIma ... tion7b.jpg" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
I do suspect I'm still missing a page or two of that N°7 Mod...
Other Mod Instruction can be found on this page:
http://www.theliberator.be/liberator6.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Enjoy,
JOhan

Re: CHECK IT OUT!! Harley-Davidson WLC info!!
Hi, I have a bit of information for that Liberator site in regards to the NOS front rim and the spokes. The site is unsure if the spokes are painted or parkerized. I have a NOS front rim. the spokes are indeed parkerized

Re: CHECK IT OUT!! Harley-Davidson WLC info!!
This is my Dad on his bike. I'm not sure what model it is, but from other posts here it looks to be a Type II 42WLA(?) Not sure where the photo was taken, but he was in Germany at the end of WWII.
Does anyone have any thoughts on the picture. I did notice Dad is holding a cigar!
Thanks!

Re: CHECK IT OUT!! Harley-Davidson WLC info!!
I'll walk you thru that pic:
- there's a Black out Lamp installed, and although not shrouded, it still makes it a type III and later.
- there's also a low ammobox, only adding up to a type IV and later.
The combination of the first patern fender and low ammobox makes it a type IV or early type V 42WLA.
Several parts have been painted white, like fendertips, edges and brackets, black out lamp and engine guards...not to mention the windscreen..
This picture is probably taken in the immediate postwar era, say autumn 1945 to summer '46.
