42WLA Tires

Post by Drew Ballard » Tue Apr 22, 2003 4:04 pm

Anybody know where to get new military tread tires? Or the closest available? Even the manual shows 2 different patterns.
Thanks

Drew, the closest I have found are a diamond pattern tread from "Coker Tire" 1-800-251-6336 http://www.coker.com :D

I never bought any but I belive that the "knobby" style tread is available but was being sold for Japanese bikes. I think it was Yahmaha but am not sure. I have the Coker diamonds on my bike which is fine for most of us. I had the knobbys tread on the bike I bought however . John AYres

WLA tires

Post by Tim B. » Mon Jun 23, 2003 7:41 am

Drew,
There is a guy named Conan Classics, I believe he is in OKC. Sometime back he had some nice originial WLA tires. But they are not cheap.
I run the Japanese kockoff's on my WLA. I can't see paying the big bucks for originial tires. I ride mine, if its a show bike thats a different story.

Just my 2 cents.
