Harley WLA Ammo storage box

Im trying to find out how the ammunition should be stored in the Ammo box mounted on the front fender of the Wartime Harley,i can't find any pictures of how it was stored.?

There is a list of what should be in the Ammo box one of the manuals but haven't seen anyone displaying it.

Anyone out there with a nice picture?

Lots of people trying to complete the tool rolls,but no one filling the ammo box..!

The only info I have found in WW2 manuals, but no pictures, only descriptions...

The 20 round magazines loaded go in the thinner front slot (5) of them and (7) boxes of 50 rounds of 45 ammunition goes in the larger area in the rear of the box.

and if the rider has the 30 round magazines they will not fit in front slot too long.

Also can set up with (5) 20 rd. mags up front (5) of the 30 Rd. Mags in the back with (3) boxes of ammo or (10) 30 Rd. in the back laying down with (5) 20rd. mags up front.

Cheers, Craig,and thank you Johan for the info,great to see magazines in the ammo carrier and rounds,i have the 30 round magazines and didn't even think of laying them down,you think they should go upright,the manual says 6 X 30 round mags..Just need to get the boxes of rounds now then.
