WTB- WLA/WLC
Want to buy Wla or wlc, want a running bike not a basket case. Needing paint or tlc ok, don't want to build one. Any leads appreciated and bird dog fee for successful transaction. Thanks

Head over to Oley at the end April.Best AMCA meet.If you don't find one there you can certainly connect with someone who is selling one. Check with Resurrection Cycles.Steve will be there and usually is wired into what is available.

Thanks for the info, I was told about that by a buddy. Was hoping to find something, and figured I would check here first. Thanks again.

Steve Lemay at Resurrection Cycle has one on his website site restored for $28,000
Jim,
I hope you don't get sticker shock? These bikes are not cheap in any condition even a complete basket case that has good original parts can sell for $10,000
The bike your asking for is easy a $17,000 to $20,000 motorcycle restored nice are selling for $25,000 to $35,000 another member here restored a bike with all original parts used tons of NOS parts and had $46,000 invested into it.
If your real serious about a bike if you don't have a copy already get a copy of Bruce Palmer how to restore you military Harley Davidson a must and a great tool to use to help you with your purchase.

Thanks, yes I am aware of the prices and I will be getting a copy of the palmer book. Just think I would like to get into something smaller than the armor I've been working with. Thanks again for the good information.

Re: WTB- WLA/WLC
David Sarafan had a very nice frehsly restored WLA type 6 for sale at the Oley meet. Not cheap but extremely accurate. I consider this type of bike as an investment.

I still have mine - fighting about letting it go - I know I will never find another like this one. It truly is spectacular and original. As a MVPA National gold winner, with a score of 96%, you know it is legit. I guess that is why I am having a hard time? Too many toys though, running out of room.
Thanks in advance for your reply -

Re: WTB- WLA/WLC
David was asking 27,000 at Oley. It was very nice. There were several others not nearly as nice but a lot cheaper.
